Beautiful fireworks lighting up the frigid night sky. The “Towada Lake Winter Fireworks” program takes place until February 19th, except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, starting at 19:30 for approximately 5 minutes. It’s one of the joys of winter at Towada Lake, distinct from the summer fireworks.

[Akita Prefecture, Towada City] Towada Lake Winter Fireworks During winter, with exceptionally clear air, the fireworks against the crisp sky are vivid and colorful. Winter fireworks performed over the frozen Towada Lake are a highlight of the Towada Lake Winter Story 2023. In addition to a 5-minute fireworks show synchronized with music, there’s also a plan for message fireworks, where you can send heartfelt messages to loved ones.
