Introduction: Nikko Momiji-za Theater, located in Nikko City, offers ever-changing traditional Japanese performances. Actors adorned in kimono and elaborate hairstyles gracefully dance and perform captivating period dramas. This fusion of tradition and innovation creates a sense of unity and excitement for the audience.


Schedule:

  • Performances daily, with five shows per day (Closed on Wednesdays)
  • Daytime Performances:
    • 1st Part: 12:00 PM – Dance Show
    • 2nd Part: 1:00 PM – Dance Show
    • 3rd Part: 2:00 PM – Dance Show
    • 4th Part: 3:00 PM – Period Drama
  • Evening Performance:
    • 8:00 PM – Dance Show (Reservation required by 5:00 PM on the same day)

  • Choose between a 40-minute dance show or a 60-minute period drama.
  • In the dance show, actors in kimono change costumes and makeup between various songs, creating a captivating performance.
  • The 60-minute period drama features a variety of acts, including sword fights, tragedies, comedies, and human dramas.
  • With different performances each time, you can enjoy the theater repeatedly without getting bored.
