The view of the cherry blossoms from Sakaiminato Lighthouse is spectacular!
Sakai Daiba Park was once a gun emplacement built in preparation for the attack of the black ships. About 240 Someiyoshino cherry trees and other trees are in bloom, and the lighthouse stands on a hill. The Sakai Daiba Park Cherry Blossom Festival attracts many visitors to enjoy cherry blossom viewing. At night, bonbori (paper lanterns) add to the cherry blossom viewing mood, and the white lighthouse of Sakaiminato Lighthouse, illuminated by lights, is truly magnificent.

・Event Hours: During the festival period, Sakaiminato Lighthouse inside the park will be open to the public, hosting an art exhibition (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM). Bonbori lanterns will be lit, and the lighthouse will be illuminated in the evening (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM).
