Introducing Tourist Events Across Japan

In Japan, a country with four seasons, spring, summer, fall, and winter, various events are held in each season. There are traditional festivals that have been held since ancient times, events that use the latest technology, and a variety of other events that are enjoyed by the people of each region and that warmly welcome visitors.

You will learn more about Japan through nature, food, traditional items, meeting the local people, and enjoying the events of the moment.

To enjoy limited time events

For major events, transportation may be changed or accommodations may not be reserved. Also, since Japan is an island nation with a long north-south axis, you need to be careful about what to wear and other preparations depending on the season. Some events are held on the same day each year, but the schedule may change. Please remember to check the date of the event and enjoy the event.

Kamogawa City, Chiba Prefecture: 2023 Nanabatake Road

Here are some events that will make you feel the spring. There are also events for families to enjoy. Flower picking and mini-train rides seem to be popular.

“Nanabatake Road” at Kamogawa City Square: From early January to early March, about 10,000 tsubo of rice paddies are covered with rape blossoms. During the peak season from mid-January to early March, various events are held, such as a rape blossom picking experience, a photo contest for winning a hotel stay ticket in Kamogawa City, etc., and a mini train (Doctor Yellow) that parents and children can ride together.

Hamura City, Tokyo: The 7th Spicy Food Festival

It appears that an exciting event featuring spicy food menus is taking place. What’s intriguing is the collaboration between local farmers and businesses within Hamura City.

The 7th Spicy Festival is primarily organized by young entrepreneurs and individuals dedicated to regional revitalization. Their aim is to utilize local resources and introduce new commercial and tourism events to stimulate the local economy, promote interaction, encourage residency, and increase the population. During the event, various restaurants prepare spicy dishes using locally grown “Hamura-produced hot peppers” and more.
